1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using UniTrade, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our platform.

2. Eligibility

UniTrade is exclusively for University of Ibadan students, staff, and alumni. You must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Have a valid university email address
• Provide accurate information during registration
• Maintain the security of your account

3. User Responsibilities

As a user, you agree to:

• Provide accurate product descriptions
• Honor commitments to buyers/sellers
• Communicate respectfully
• Not list prohibited items
• Not engage in fraudulent activities
• Meet in safe, public locations

4. Prohibited Items

The following items cannot be listed on UniTrade:

• Illegal drugs or substances
• Weapons of any kind
• Stolen goods
• Counterfeit items
• Adult content
• Items that violate university policies

5. Transactions

UniTrade is a marketplace platform. We:

• Do not handle payments (buyers pay sellers directly)
• Do not guarantee transactions
• Are not responsible for disputes between users
• Recommend meeting in person for exchanges

6. Fees

Currently, UniTrade is free to use. We reserve the right to introduce fees in the future with advance notice to users.

7. Content Ownership

You retain ownership of content you post. By posting, you grant UniTrade a license to display and promote your listings on our platform.

8. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that:

• Violate these terms
• Engage in fraudulent activity
• Receive multiple user complaints
• Are inactive for extended periods

9. Limitation of Liability

UniTrade is provided "as is." We are not liable for:

• Quality or condition of items sold
• User conduct or disputes
• Loss of data or access
• Any indirect or consequential damages

10. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved through friendly negotiation. If unresolved, disputes will be subject to Nigerian law.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of new terms.
